Frank's notes:
A long break for Anthony Harris and his Whitney Young team will come to a close on Wednesday when they tip off Chicago Public League hosting Steinmetz. The Dolphins are still without 6'5" combo forward Norman Winn (recovering from a knee injury) and 6'8" post Dwayne Curtis (concentrating on academics), which might hurt them against a tall Steinmetz ball club with 6'8" garbage man Kevin Chester and 6'7" long-armed Andreas Thornton. According to Harris, the team is expecting both Winn and Curtis, who is committed to Auburn, back in action before the start of the Proviso West Holiday Tournament that kicks off on Dec. 26.

What's up everybody? It's your boy Ant coming straight out the Chi!

Everything is still going well accept the fact that we have not had a basketball game in two weeks. But that's going to come to an end on Wednesday when we tip off against Steinmetz at our house.

I got a chance to holla at my boy Juanie (Dajuan Wagner) when the Cavs played the Bulls. I also got a chance to meet Carlos Boozer and talk to another cool friend DeSagana Diop who also plays for the Cavs. Other than watching basketball I've been practicing hard, trying to stay focused and prepare for this long break.

Things at school have been going cool and the team has really picked up on the intensity and aggression in practice. Also a few of my teammates have made it to a couple of my workouts; 6'4" junior sixth man Sterling Williams, who got a chance to meet those guy's I mentioned earlier, and David Howard our point guard who worked hard to come back from a knee injury. Dave has been doing excellent, and things can only get better for us individually and as a team.

I checked out the LeBron James game on Thursday against Oak Hill on ESPN2. He really put it down in front of the cameras. He played like he had a point to prove, and whatever point that was I think he proved it. I just wish we can get a big game against a big school so I can prove my points. When I saw that game I went straight to the gym afterwards because I was so fired up. I think that workout goes on the top list. Stuff like that pushes me, but I know my chance will come if I keep working as hard as I do.

My cousin Chris Bates kicked it with me for the weekend so we had a lot of fun. Winter break is coming up and I am always excited about that.

It's great that we are hosting the supersectionals this year (at Whitney Young), and as far as all the talk [about many of the city's top teams in the same supersectional] we are up for the challenge. Who ever we see is going to get what they are looking for. Norman Winn and Dwayne Curtis should be coming back soon, (the two beasts of the belly). Holla at you all next week.

GONE, THREE TIMES TOO THE CHEST!

    #12 Anthony Harris
