Frank's notes:
Having started school, Levar's days are pretty normal as far as doing nothing out of the ordinary. Looking forward to his AAU Coach, Mac Irvin's Adidas Back to School Tournament at Loyola University, Levar will be attending his first major national level tournament since the Adidas Shootout at Depaul in the very beginning of the summer. His reason for not attending many of these top notch tournaments that he and his AAU team, the Illinois Fire, have been invited to is because of his devotion to summer school for the past 2 months. Depaul, Marquette and Siena among others have all offered Levar a scholarship despite his lack of exposure this summer.

In the past week I have received a number of calls from various colleges, including Depaul, Illinois, Siena and Loyola of Chicago for home visits. Depaul University will be out here on Sept. 7th for the first official home visit. I'm looking forward to this day because it will be my first home visit I have. Illinois and other schools haven't really set up dates for home visits. Also, Purdue University wants to come on an official home visit during the open period.

This will be a big and important experience of my high school basketball career. I am pleased to say that I have the privilege to have colleges come to my home and see how I'm doing and see if I'm interested in coming to their colleges. Other players in high school don't have the chances that I have had in the recent years.

Next weekend, the 7th, 8th and 9th of September those five colleges and many more will have a chance to see me for the first time this summer. I'm looking forward to playing and showing the college coaches how much I have improved. It will be a great time for my team and I to showcase the talents that we have.

Peace,

    Levar
