Rusnak 1)
Thornton 24-1 Continue to roll; only loss still to Hillcrest.
2) St. Joseph 24-1 Coming off of loss to Brother Rice at UIC
shootout.
3) Carbondale 22-2 Won another South Seven Conference title
with a win over Belleville Althoff, which was without Kevin Lisch
(knee).
4) Westinghouse 23-3 Meet up with Von Steuben (19-6) in Public
League semifinals Friday at DePaul.
5) Simeon 23-4 Will face Marshall (20-6) in Public League
semifinals Friday at DePaul.
6) Julian 22-3 Unable to beat Simeon for third time this season
in Public League quarterfinals. It looks likely that center "Mac"
Koshwal will be ruled ineligible; Jaguars may forfeit games sending
them to the Blue Division.
7) Hales Franciscan 22-4 Will be without Mike Robinson (hand)
for start of playoffs.
8) Hillcrest 19-4 If McNeal and Acker are healthy and out of
foul trouble, not many teams will be able to beat them in the
playoffs.
9) Homewood-Flossmoor 20-4 Continue to roll after downing NIC-9
power Rockford Boylan.
10) Glenbrook North 23-2 Jon Scheyer starting to kick it into
high gear as playoffs approach. |
