Rusnak - The anticipated college decision of Glenbrook North guard
Jon Scheyer is over and done with. The 6'5" guard selected Duke over
the University of Illinois on Tuesday at a press conference in the
library of his Northbrook school.
Scheyer becomes the fourth Illinois player to commit to Duke in the
last five recruiting classes.
Sean Dockery and Michael Thompson both committed to coach Mike
Krzyzewski's program from the class of 2002. Dockery was a starter at
guard this past year. Thompson has since transferred to Northwestern.
From the 2004 class, point guard Shaun Livingston committed to the
Blue Devils but opted to enter the NBA Draft where he was picked by
the Los Angeles Clippers.
Scheyer averaged over 25 points this past year in leading Glenbrook
North to a 32-2 record and Class AA state championship. |
